After seeing several tutorials on Pinterest, I finally decided to give it a whirl. It was a fun and easy project to do with the kids, and I was very happy with the results. I followed this tutorial by Joyfolie, adjusting it to my liking. Enjoy!

This week is a great example of loving imperfect images. All I wanted for Mother’s Day was a picture with my kids. I had planned on taking them to a special location and I had a vision of what I wanted. Let’s just say after a LONG week of my son being sick and even longer weekend, it was tough even getting these images. We ended up just staying close to home and trying to get a usable image in 10 minutes. Despite all of these things, I am posting these images because I love them for who is in them.![]()

Please follow our circle to see what the others have in store this month. All you have to do is click the link in each of our posts to see the images, following the blog circle until you come back to the original post and the circle is complete. We all love getting comments, so please leave us all a little love as you follow our circle. Now head on over to my friend and Calgary, Alberta photographer, Robyn Oakenfold of Little Bug Photography to see what she has in store this month.

This session is extra special to me because I’ve had the opportunity to watch her grow from a tiny newborn into a sweet little girl. Each time her mom invites me back to take their pictures is a joy. I’m so lucky to their photographer. Recognize this chair? Every year since she was born, we have taken a shot of her in it. It was all her mom’s idea and has been such a fun way to document her over the years.
